As part of submitting Quality eCQMs and/or Promoting Interoperability (PI) data, a valid CEHRT ID is required.
How to find your CEHRT ID in CHPL
1. Go to the Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL) website:
https://chpl.healthit.gov/#/search
2. Search for your EHR by product name or developer/vendor.
3. Select your EHR version.
From the search results, find your EHR version and click the “CERT ID +” button on the right.
4. Generate your CEHRT ID:
Add the product(s) you use, then click "Create Certification ID".
5. Copy your CEHRT ID:
A 15-character CEHRT ID will be displayed — copy and save this ID, as you will need it for your reporting.

6. Ensure the selected product meets 100% of the Base Criteria.
⚠️Important: If it does not meet 100% Base Criteria, you will need to add any additional certified modules that you use with your EHR. If your organization uses multiple EHR systems, be sure to add each one before generating your CEHRT ID.
7. If the product does not meet 100% of the Base Criteria:
Click on the CHPL ID link from the search results page. Then, open the Mandatory Disclosures section to review the list of Additional Required Software.
⚠️ Important: You must also be actively using this additional software for your product to be considered fully certified and for your CEHRT ID to be valid.
8. If additional software is required:
Return to the CHPL search bar and search for the additional certified software you identified under Mandatory Disclosures and click “CERT ID +”. Repeat this process for each required product so your CEHRT ID reflects all of the certified technology you are actively using.
9. Generate your CEHRT ID:
After adding all required products, your CEHRT listing should now show 100% of the Base Criteria. If it does, click “Create Certification ID.” A 15-character CEHRT ID will be displayed — copy and save this ID, as you will need it for your reporting.
