Measure Detail Report
The Measure Detail Report contains a breakdown of all measure data that has been entered, uploaded and imported into your MDinteractive account.
It will also show what has been attested to for the PI and IA categories if applicable.
Measure Specifics and Performance
Detailed information about measure specifications, national benchmarks, data performance, and much more is listed for each measure.
Data
For quality measures, a summary of the patient data reported is listed. The calculated numerator/denominator based on what was entered and/or uploaded.
Performance Rates
Using the data entered or uploaded for each measure, a performance rate is calculated and listed here.
Reporting Rates
For quality measures, the reporting rate is also listed.
Note: In order to be compared to national benchmarks, CMS requires that at least 75% of all eligible patients/visits during the reporting period include the numerator option and have at least 20 records reported.
Preliminary Quality Score Explanation and Rationale
Points/Scores are preliminary, and provided to give you a general idea of how you are performing Y-T-D. CMS will provide the final scores for each measure post submission.
Measures that do not have a benchmark will initially return a base score (a place holder). This score will change if benchmarks are developed for a measure.
If providing data for more than 6 measures, the software will only include the top 6 scoring measures at this point in time. That is why you might see a "0" for some measures. This might change post submission.
Refer to the benchmark table on our website to better understand scores. For example, there are many measures that are "topped out" at 7 points, even with a 100% performance rate.
Small Practice Scoring Explanation:
-
Identify Top Six Measures (measures "picked" from Review Your Data):
-
For Quality, the six highest scoring Quality measures are "picked".
-
In our example, these might be:
10 + 10 + 7 + 5 + 6 + 3 = 41 points
-
-
Apply Small Practice Bonus:
-
Practices with 15 or fewer clinicians in the TIN automatically receive 6 bonus points in the Quality category.
41 (total from top 6 measures) + 6 (small practice bonus) = 47 total Quality points
-
-
Normalize to a 60-Point Scale:
-
The Quality category is out of 60 possible points.
So,47 / 60 = 0.7833 (or 78.33%)
-
-
Apply Category Weighting:
-
The Quality category is typically weighted at 40% of the total MIPS score.
Therefore,0.7833 * 40 = 31.33 Quality contribution to the final MIPS score

The scoring for IA and, if applicable PI, will also be added to the estimated score you see on your dashboard.
