- Select the Report Type: Look for options to generate or export QRDA files. You may find QRDA I and QRDA III options. Select "QRDA I" for patient-level data reporting.
- Generate the Report: Click on the button to generate QRDA I zipped files. Each file will contain data for one single patient.
- Download and Save the Files: Once the files are generated, they are usually zipped into one zip file containing multiple patient-level QRDA XML files. Download and save this zip file to your computer.
If you cannot generate QRDA files, start by consulting the online help documentation for your EHR. Should the problem continue, please create a support ticket with your EHR provider.
FAQ:
What is QRDA?
QRDA creates a standard method to report quality measure results in a structured, consistent format and can be used to exchange electronic Clinical Quality Measure (eCQM) data between systems like EHRs and registries.
QRDA I - Each QRDA Category I report contains quality data for one patient for one or more CQMs. QRDA I contains data about:
• Patient ID (PHI!)
• Reporter(s)
• Reporting Time Period
• Patient Quality DataQRDA III - Each QRDA Category III report contains calculated summary data on a population for one or more CQMs
Can my EHR Actually export QRDA I Files?
“A system user will be able to record and export individual patient-level eCQM data [formatted as QRDA I] at any time the user chooses, for one or multiple patients without needing to request support from a developer to operate.” - Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) 2015 EHR Certification Final Rule
Some EHR vendors require additional modules or setup of the QRDA functionality before being fully capable
Why does my ACO want QRDA I instead of QRDA III?
QRDA I offers detailed information on individual patients, in contrast to the summary data found in QRDA III. Files from duplicate patients can be consolidated across various doctors and practices.
